ABOUT RUSTY'S SURF CAMP
Hello, we are Basti and Narayana.
Basti is 29 and Nara is 30, and we’re two best friends from Germany. During our travels we discovered Pichilemu—a small seaside town located three hours south of Chile’s capital, Santiago. Known as the surf mecca of Chile, Pichilemu offers perfect waves almost all year round, and it captured our hearts instantly.
Long story short: when we first visited in 2019, we made a promise to ourselves—one day, we would buy land here and build a home. After that trip, Narayana completed a degree in architecture, and Basti finished his apprenticeship as a carpenter, both with this dream in mind.
In early 2024, the moment finally arrived. We bought a small piece of land with an old house on it and started bringing our vision to life. Through countless hours of renovation, construction, and creative planning, we transformed it into a space for 10 people who are excited to learn how to surf—or who want to help others become better surfers.
And that’s how Rusty’s Surf Camp was born: built with our own hands, shaped by our dream, and inspired by the community we love.
